2019 Recap

How are we already at the end of 2019? This year flew by for me! I can’t believe that Essentially Sydney will be a year old next month! 1 whole year of blogging under my belt already. I have learned so much this year! About myself, marriage, blogging, trusting God, making a baby (the untraditional way), and so much more. It is so fun to reflect on a year of your life! All the things you tried, accomplished and found out you didn’t like. To look back on how much you’ve changed for the better, can be very powerful! I can’t say there weren’t some hard times this year but they have forced me to become so much wiser and stronger so I am grateful.

Here is a list of things I experienced for the first time this year.

  • cupping
  • axe throwing
  • coaching volleyball
  • building a fence
  • floral arranging (Kramers wedding)
  • tubing
  • Harry Potter World
  • a coco mojito
  • Disney World as an adult
  • goat yoga
  • all 7 Clemson home games
  • kayaking
  • breakfast clubbing at Purdue
  • going blonde
  • sewing a blanket

2019 Goals Summary

Josh and I set goals together last year and we were able to complete 5 of the 8 we set! We had a goal of paying down our debt which we did! As well as add to our savings! We also wanted to work on our landscaping, which neither of us really enjoy, and we did that also! We ripped out a ton of ivy and weeds from out existing landscaping and cleaned up the rest! Another was to have an intentional date night once a month which we also completed!
