Here we go again! The road to Baby G #2!

transfer #2

The time has come! We are trying for Baby G #2! As many of you know, for us, this means another IVF transfer. I wanted to document this round as I did with the journey to Brinley. I have talked about it many times but infertility can be very isolating if you let it be. It is a very emotional and heavy thing to go through. From all the hoping and shots and doctor’s appointments, it can be very draining. I’ll admit though, my main reason for wanting to share is because I know deep in my soul that part of the reason Brinley is here is thanks to all the prayer warriors that lifted us up every step of the way! I can’t help but want that for this round! I know the power of God is beyond what any of us can comprehend.

transfer #2

Today I wanted to start out by journaling, if you will, about how I’m feeling about this transfer. This time, knowing what lies ahead, I am having very different feelings. A lot more excitement and anticipation this time as opposed to last time it was a lot of fear and anxiety. Last time, I didn’t know what to expect and was kind of learning as I went. This go around I am just so excited and ready! The meds were pretty difficult for me last time but even knowing that I can’t wait to get started!

Brinley is truly a miracle. I witnessed a miracle when that little girl was born. That gives me even more faith that this can work again! Sure, I am preparing my heart for any outcome that we aren’t hoping for but I refuse to live in fear. I choose to believe!

When’s the big day!

We are not very far into the process yet. So far I have had a few appointments, where they have checked to make sure my body is ready to go for another transfer. I started taking estrogen pills on January 23rd, so a couple of days ago. Just like last time, I will start PIO shots 5 days before the transfer and continue them for 10 weeks if this embaby decides to stick! Hopefully, shots will be more forgiving this time around, but I am not expecting that. Haha!

I have had a few people ask about the Expect Miracles shirts that we did last time to raise money. Thankfully, this transfer is much less expensive than last time and it has been fully covered! However, if you do want one, all proceeds will go to an infertility charity! I know a lot of you wore yours on Brinley’s transfer day! I am getting teary-eyed just thinking back! We have the best community!

This time feels special because I know several people who have had transfers recently!

Moving on to the detail that everyone is wanting to know! The transfer is on February 15th! The day after Valentine’s Day, how fun is that! Let the countdown begin, 17 days! I will update as we go along!
