Ahhh Fall…am I right? Pumpkin spice coffee, candles, and bread. The colorful leaves, the cooler temperatures, wouldn’t you agree that the change that comes with a new season can be so refreshing. The kind of refreshing that you didn’t even realize that you needed. Renewed inspiration can go a very long way. The way the mood shifts always does a great job of reminding me of everything I have to be thankful for. So many big things have happened to me in the fall, moving to SC, meeting my husband, getting engaged to my husband, so it’s a nostalgic season for me. Truly, having Brinley in my life has shown me how to see the world with childlike eyes. I am experiencing each season again for the very first time.
So far we have gone to a few Clemson tailgates, visited an apple orchard, and been to a few street festivals.
Halloween
I think Halloween will be quite the adventure this year! I already have B’s costume figured out and will be making it with my MIL, Kathy! Brinley is gonna be so cute!! We will be attending Duncan’s first Halloween event, Spooktacular 2021. Stay tuned for Brinley’s costume reveal! I thought about being super extra and dressing up with her, but I will wait until next year. I am curious, what were your kids’ first costumes?
My mom made a ton of my Halloween costumes but I specifically remember being a ladybug one year. So sweet! I hope to continue making costumes for as long as Brinley will let me.
Side note: looking for a good fall playlist? I’ve got you, check out this one! Nothing like sipping my pumpkin spice coffee and jammin to this playlist!
Fall Actitivies
There are so many seasonal things I want to do with B but I have to keep reminding myself she is only 9 months old. Instead of carving pumpkins, we are going to paint some. How cute will that be?! Picture a tarp, some non-toxic paint, and a baby in a diaper smearing paint all over a pumpkin. I can’t wait!
Need some more ideas? 40 more ideas to be exact! I have already crossed a few off of my list!
Another classic fall activity in our house is to rewatch all the Harry Potter movies!! Maybe I should dress B up in a Hogwarts outfit like my friend Casey did in this adorable shoot!!
What are some of your family’s fall traditions? Does it involve grabbing a pumpkin spice latte and chasing the fall foliage because I have gathered some really great locations for you in this post!
I think one of my favorite things this season is going to be the photoshoots I have scheduled! Between family sessions and senior pictures, I have my first wedding! I am so excited! Photography is a passion project I didn’t even know that I needed. It is a whole new level of creativity for me! I enjoy the entire process, from posing the subjects to getting to know my clients, even the editing for hours afterward! Watching the photos come to life brings me so much joy! Overall, it just feels like an enormous honor to be asked to capture those precious moments for my clients!
Here is your friendly reminder to schedule your Christmas Card session! Don’t miss another year of family photos!
