Last year around this time Josh took me to New York City for my very first time! We went during the week of July 4th so we even were able to experience the Macy’s Fireworks! For this series, I am going to break it up into 5 parts (Sights, Smells, Sounds, Tastes, and Touch!) How fun right?!
First, Some Housekeeping
It was the most incredible trip, we crammed as much as we possibly could into 5 days! We were exhausted by the time we got home but it was so worth it! Also, we did the whole New York City trip on a budget! We planned ahead and were smart about how we purchased things!
Our focus was on experience. We wanted to go see and do all of the things. That takes some serious planning, which is not my forte. When it comes to figuring out the metro, Josh is your guy. He had the app on his phone and quickly learned the map! He knew which train to get on from where to get where we were going! I just followed along!
New York City Sightseeing Pass
We also purchased a sightseeing pass before we got there. It gave us access to museums, tours, and more! It was by far the most valuable thing we did for this trip! We got our passes through trip advisor which made it a little cheaper and they had different day lengths available! My first adventure to New York City was a dream and I can’t wait to share it all with you! Buckle Up!
Next Part: New York City Sights
If you missed how I ended up living in the south, you can find that story here! It is a two-part series so make sure you catch the second post as well! Happy reading! XOXO Sydney

I have never been but I definitely want to someday!
Josh has always had a knack for directions and getting places! Even though I am familiar with this trip I can’t wait to read all about it!
I never heard of a Sightseeing Pass, what a great idea!
New York is such an amazing city!
