Wow! I can’t believe that I get to type those words! We are pregnant!!! It has not really sunk in yet honestly. We are still very early on, 4 weeks and a few days to be exact but man its been quite the ride to get here. We found out on May 4th, 2020 that we will finally be parents! It has been a whole month since I have posted on here but I really just haven’t had the energy. Transfer prep and the two-week wait are no joke! If you have followed along on Instagram or Facebook you know that the progesterone in oil shots has been taking their toll on me the past couple weeks. And since we got a positive pregnancy test we get to continue these shots for another 6 weeks!

I could not be more excited!

I have come to terms with these dang PIO shots and I will make it through them but I sure do miss sleeping and being comfortable. As long as they will keep me pregnant, I will do them gladly! We have so many milestones to look forward to since we will be at our infertility clinic until I am 10 weeks! Next week we will have another blood test to make sure my hcg levels are rising as they should be. And then two weeks from now we will have our first ultrasound to hear the heartbeat and make sure everything looks good! We are so excited!!

As you know this IVF process doesn’t leave a lot of room for surprises so we are going to take advantage of the ones that we can! We will not be finding out the gender until birth! To some this would drive you crazy. But let’s be real, if you know me, you know my nursery is going to be mostly green anyways so gender doesn’t really matter until he/she is here! We also won’t be sharing our name options either! So it will be one big surprise early January!

What’s next?

There is so much more to come but until the next few weeks, we won’t know more. I plan on celebrating every milestone of this pregnancy because we worked so hard to get here! I will not take one moment for granted!
