Just a little update. I just finished Transform: 20, which was 20 minutes a day, 6 days a week for 6 weeks. It was the most physically demanding workout program I have ever done. I am extremely proud of myself for completing it. I really did not think I would when I started it. If you know anything about Shaun T you know he is CRAZY when it comes to workout programs. He is the creator of Insanity and I hate that program! I can’t even make it through an Insanity workout without wanting to die.
The thing I loved most about this program is that it was not just about a physical change, it was also about a mental change. With every workout, Shaun T was working to help you tear down mental walls and build self belief and confidence! He talks constantly about transforming your life, not just your body. I feel stronger physically but also like I can accomplish anything I put my mind to now!
I also hadn’t worked out 6 days a week since I was in high school so that was a big adjustment too. But once I put it into my daily routine I didn’t even have to think about it. I would get home from work, change my clothes, drink my pre and press play. Everyday (except 1).
FINALLY, the scale is starting to move and that gives me a huge boost in confidence! But even more exciting, I feel so much leaner and my clothes fit a lot better than before. I am more comfortable walking out of the house in tighter fitting clothes again. I’m starting to believe my husband when he tells me I am looking so good! I feel pride because I am accomplishing this on my own (with the support from a ton of people). I definitely don’t get it 100% right every single day. But all the days that I do get it right are starting to add up!
I have so many people tell me they just don’t have the motivation to workout. I have to laugh because I am never feeling motivated to workout. It is a decision every single time. Does it help to make it a routine, absolutely. You better believe that most days on my way home I am trying to come up with a reason to put my workout off because I just want to nap or I am starving. But then it never fails, I get home and my routine kicks in and before I can be bummed about working out I am already halfway done and committed.
I am definitely one of those people that loves to move so exercising is not a difficult decision for me but I still struggle some days to be excited about it. I just know that I will feel so much better if I do the dang thing than if I put it off. This is me making my health a priority. I could go on and on but I just wanted to write up a summary of this program to not only encourage you but as something I can reference back to on the hard days.
If you are at all interested in joining me for the next round of this program feel free to reach out or drop something in the comments below! I live to encourage others when I can! I am by no means an expert at any of this but I do make it a point to learn from people who do know what they are talking about! Be on the look out later today for my before and after pictures on my Instagram @sydney_garrison_! I’ll also be taking my end measurements for this round.

20 minutes, 6 days a week sounds totally manageable! I love that little tweaks to routine can make such a huge difference in the way you think and feel (and look)!
Interesting! I like the idea of a workout program that addresses mindset as well as body. Congrats for getting through it!
