Netflix Favorites

Alright, so if you say you don’t binge watch shows on Netflix at least every now and then, you are lying. I personally am always looking for new shows because I am definitely a binge watcher sometimes! It can be SO difficult to settle on your next show. It can quickly turn into a 20 minute process of scrolling, reading the blurb, and scrolling on, then scrolling all the way back to the first option. I thought it might be helpful to offer some suggestions, if you will!

Honestly, I watch all different types of shows: funny, thriller, political, fantasy etc.! I typically have a few different series going at once of different lengths and types for varies moods I may be in. Let’s dive in!

House of Cards

This show is incredible and unpredictable! It shines light into the scandalous life of politics. I believe that Bill Clinton was asked how spot on this show is compared to real life and he said the only thing that is wrong is how fast a bill can get passed in the show! I mean, this show has murder, theft, coverups, bribes, all kinds of nasty things! So much going on, perfect for my ADHD mind!

Mad Men

This show is set in the 1960s – 1970s. It is considered to be an American period drama. So good! Just picture a old time advertising agency run by mostly men that pour a glass of scotch in every scene! Classic! The characters are so strong and the story line in absolutely compelling! Mad Men has won many awards including 16 Emmys!

New Girl

Holy moly, if you feel like laughing watch this show! Hilarious! You will fall in love with the characters and feel the deep bond they all share! There are 7 seasons and the episodes run time are all under 30 minutes! I would consider this a great lunch hour show! I mean, Zooey Deschanel, enough said.

You

Okay, so this show is quite interesting. It is about stalking, murder, obsession, love, thrill! I know that’s a lot but the main actor is Dan Humphrey from Gossip Girl!! So you know it’s good!

Selling Sunset

So this one is a reality tv show kinda. It’s about a really high class real estate brokerage in LA. It’s about super catty women who make up the brokerage that is owned by the Oppenheim brothers. This is more of a guilty pleasure type of show. One of the women is married to Justin Hartley from This is Us. Sadly, I couldn’t find a good trailer for this one.

Designated Survivor

This show fed my political drama obsession when I finished Madame Secretary and House of Cards. Such an intriguing plot line! Making the most of the cards you are given. There are definitely some power house actors in this show as well! Highly recommend!

Call the Midwife

I have saved one of the best for last. This show is heartwarming, raw and powerful! It’s about a group of nurse midwives working in the east end of London in the 1950s! The reality back then is heartbreaking! What women had to endure is crazy! There are currently 8 seasons of this incredible show! Go watch it!

Well that is all my suggestions for now! I tried to include an array of different genres! Hopefully this list was helpful in some way! Happy Netflix binging!

I also, highly recommend Game of Thrones as well, but that’s on HBO!

This post was in no way sponsored by Netflix.

  1. Wow! You have given me a whole new list to watch once summer break begins! 🙂

  2. Loved “New Girl” and “Designated Survivor”. Also “The Crown” and “Santa Clarita Diet,” although it didn’t get renewed and the season 3 final left us with a cliffhanger! I just started the new “Dead to Me” and it is excellent!! I’d also recommed “Victoria” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” to binge on Amazon Prime Video and “Younger” on On Demand if your provider offers that. Just finished all five seasons in a week!

    1. I love your love for tv shows!! Great suggestions! I have seen a lot of those but wanted to just keep the list specific to one provider.

  3. New Girl!!!! Yes! Also a huge fan of You. Check out Santa Clarita Diet and Vampire Dairies! My current faves ❤️
