So I know I have talked about tools to get started with blogging but after two years I wanted to share the best websites and apps that have been the most useful! Now, there is a learning curve with all of these, this is a recurring thing when it comes to blogging but with time and effort, I’ve been able to really have these tools work for me! The best part about these tools is I am constantly finding new features that make life even easier! Let’s dive in!
Canva
This site… I use Canva on every single post I ever make. I use it to make all the graphics and products that I share! It is so versatile and easy to use! I have used the free version and the pro version and both are great, it just depends on what you plan on using it for. If you plan on using their stock photos then I would recommend the pro version to have access to all of the photos. But if you plan on using your own photos or stock photos from a different source then the pro version is not necessary.
Mailchimp
I use Mailchimp for my email list! I love the creation tools, they are just my speed. Nothing too fancy but customizable enough to keep things fun! I also use the free version of this tool. I have never tried a paid plan but I don’t think I am at the point where I need to. If you are a bigger blog or influencer, there are a ton of features that would come in handy in the paid option for you! You can use my referral code here to get started!
Google Calendar
So far this has been my favorite tool for creating my content calendar! You can color code, create tasks with a due date, integrate other calendars, and switch easily back and forth between them. I can pull it up on any device and see exactly where I left off. Also, I use a paper planner for daily things but for an overall content calendar, I am so team Google! I also have a separate email for my blog. That way I won’t miss anything important that is blog related and it is more professional!
Linktree
I love Linktree for a couple of reasons! It allows me to share multiple links to my social media pages at one time! Most platforms only give you space for one. My one is my Linktree link which I can attach several links to! Link the link above to see what I mean. Another reason I love it is because I do not have the swipe up feature on Instagram so this is the next best thing. I can just direct people to my profile and Linktree link when I want to share something!
LiketoKnow.it
This is another tool I use to monetize my blog and Instagram! Basically, it allows me to link any product that I use or that I am sharing about! I can make all the graphics on my blog shoppable by using LTK! I am still learning this tool but so far it has been really fun to share awesome products with my readers and be compensated for some of the hard work!
Additional Tools
- Unsplash.com for beautiful free photos
- Spotify for sharing playlists
- Tezza App for photo editing
- RewardStyle for linking products
- Google Associates for linking products
- Pinterest for sharing posts
