Halfway to meeting this sweet babe! The 20-week appointment was by far the most exciting to date! I had a doctor’s visit and an ultrasound that was in great detail! The ultrasound was long and completely incredible! The only downside of it all was that Josh was unable to come with me. But have no fear, I brought my tripod and set it up to record the whole thing! we watched it together later and it was so fun to relive it all over again! I think in the long run it will be nice that this stupid virus forced us to document so much of this pregnancy!
So the ultrasound was around 30 minutes long and the tech had specific things she was looking to check out! Things like the heart, brain, arms and legs, kidneys, stomach, etc! I know this next part will shock all of you that know me, but the baby was so wiggly and stubborn the whole time! It had its head snuggled near my belly button which was making it very difficult to get a good image of its brain. We tried rolling over, waiting, little nudges and finally she got the right angle to make sure everything was good.
Gender Slip
Going into this appointment I was so nervous that I would accidentally find out the gender by the tech saying he/she or by seeing it on the screen. But luckily, since our sweet babe was so wiggly and not cooperating, the tech never even saw what it is anyways! So we are in the clear! The more I think about it, I think it is a girl. I told Josh that when I think about the baby, I refer to it as a girl. So, who knows! I am just so excited that we have made it to this point!
We got so many amazing pictures from the ultrasound too! Here are a few!
I am so in love with this phase of pregnancy! I am feeling so many little kicks and wiggles now! It is truly the highlight of my days just sitting still experiencing it! What a special thing that mommas get with their littles before they even meet! It makes me feel so much more connected now that I can feel it! The coolest thing happened a few days ago too, Josh felt and saw his first kicks! I thought it might still be too early for him to be able to feel it, but baby G showed out! It was such a special moment! I have a feeling, it will all just keep getting better as this sweet babe grows!
Next Up
The next exciting thing that I will be sharing about is our first baby shower! We are having one here in SC and one in Indiana later on! I can’t wait to celebrate this little monkey with all our closest friends and family! So stay tuned for that recap!

I remember the relief and amazement of seeing you the first time in our one and only ultrasound. You also were so wiggly they couldn’t tell what you were either. The surprise and excitement when the doctor said “It’s a girl!” was thrilling!
I can’t wait to feel this precious baby move this weekend!
